Independent Contractor: Texas Sales Representative
The Role
Jota Living (HO-ta) is expanding in Texas—and we’re looking for an independent sales pro to help us spark the movement. Our lineup of hemp THC beverage boosters and gummies are designed for connection, creativity, and good times—and we want you to be the one bringing them into the right hands.
This isn’t your typical sales gig. We’re looking for someone who knows the scene, loves building relationships, and can bring Jota Living into classy bars, trendy boutiques, bougie liquor stores, hotel minibars and event venues across the state. If you’re already plugged into the beverage or hemp space, even better.
Who We Are
Jota Living (HO-ta) is a hemp-derived THC beverage and edibles brand built for connection, creativity, and joy. Founder “Jam” Martin was tight with the best darn THC makers around and decided to create hemp products with love for Texas, where she has a second home in the eclectic art town of Marfa. Jota Living launched in Marfa in 2024 and has since expanded to 20 retailers in Missouri and Texas.
Fun is our highest brand value, and education is right after that. We feel that there is a market of empty nesters, parents and caregivers out there that could benefit from our dose-accurate premium edibles, and we need your help letting them know about us!
From our drink boosters that turn any beverage into an elevated experience, to our gummies crafted for balance, focus, and fun, we make products that fit seamlessly into modern lifestyles. We believe hemp THC should be fun, compliant, and designed for everyday moments.

You’ve got a network (or the hustle to build one fast) and you’re not afraid to get out there—whether that means cold-calling, shaking hands at an industry event, or walking a manager through why our products fly off shelves.
Your success isn’t just about volume—it’s about creating connections that turn into repeat orders and brand loyalty.
What You’ll Do
Build and run your own sales strategy across Texas, targeting classy bars, trendy boutiques, liquor stores, hotel minibars and event venues.
Prospect new opportunities through outreach, networking, and your own connections.
Manage the full sales cycle—intro, education, samples, closing, and follow-up.Nurture long-term relationships with buyers, managers, and distributor partners.
Educate staff on what makes Jota Living different and why customers come back for more.
Represent Jota Living at in-store tastings, pop-up events, and industry gatherings.
Share feedback with the team on what you’re seeing in the field.
Work within Texas hemp compliance rules (we take this seriously).
Keep track of your wins—pipeline, reorders, and sales activity—week by week.
What You Bring
Past experience selling to bars, boutiques, liquor stores, or event venues (bonus points for beverage sales).
A strong network of buyer contacts in Texas (or the ability to make new friends fast).
A love of hemp THC products and bringing them to new customers.
Great communication skills—you know how to educate, influence, and close.
Self-motivation, independence, and accountability.
Willingness to travel to Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Marcos, and San Antonio (1-2 cities per month). Reliable transportation required. Travel stipend provided.
Your own business tools, such as a cell phone and laptop.
Compensation
$2,000-$3,000 Monthly Base + commission + travel stipend.
This is an independent contractor role.
